BestSongEver (“the App”, “we”, “us”) creates personalized songs as gifts. We designed the App to collect as little personal data as possible. This policy explains what information the App handles, why, and your choices.

This App does not require you to create an account, and it does not use advertising or analytics/tracking SDKs.

1. Information we process

We only process the information you actively provide to create your song:

• Song details you type in: the recipient (e.g. “Mother”), the occasion, the mood, and optional personal touches such as a name, nickname, city, and a special place. You choose what to enter; optional fields can be left blank.
• Voice recording (optional): if you use the “Sing it yourself” feature, the App records audio through your device microphone so it can be mixed with the backing track. The microphone is only accessed while you are actively recording, and only if you grant the permission.
• A per-install identifier: a random ID generated on your device is sent with requests solely to enforce fair-use rate limits (for example a daily free-generation limit). It is not tied to your identity, is not an advertising ID, and is not used for tracking or profiling.
• Purchase information: if you buy a full song, the purchase is handled by your app store: Google Play Billing on Android and Apple In-App Purchase on iOS. We never see or receive your card or payment details. The store processes the payment and only tells us whether it succeeded.

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, location, advertising identifiers, or browsing history.

2. How your information is used

• Generate song lyrics from the details you provide.
• Generate the sung song and/or an instrumental backing track from those lyrics and the chosen mood.
• (If you record) mix your voice with the backing track into a single song.
• Enforce fair-use daily limits using the per-install identifier.
• Process and validate purchases of the full song.

We do not use your information for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell it.

3. Third-party services (sub-processors)

To create your song, the details you enter are sent to specialized service providers that perform the generation. These providers process the data only to return a result to the App:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — receives the details you enter to generate the lyrics. Privacy policy
• ElevenLabs — receives the lyrics to generate the sung song and instrumental music. Privacy policy
• Cloudflare — hosts the App's backend service. Privacy policy
• Google Play Billing (Android) — processes purchases. Privacy policy
• Apple In-App Purchase (iOS) — processes purchases. Privacy policy

If you use the voice feature, your recording is sent to our own mixing service to be combined with the music. We do not send your voice recording to any third-party AI provider, and the recording is deleted automatically as soon as the mixed song is returned — it is not stored.

4. Data retention

• Our servers do not store the song details you enter or your voice recordings. The lyrics request is relayed and not saved; the voice recording is deleted immediately after mixing.
• Third-party providers may retain request data temporarily for security and abuse-prevention as described in their own privacy policies. We do not control their retention.
• Your finished song and audio files are stored locally on your own device. You can delete them at any time.

5. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will address it.

6. Permissions the App requests

• Microphone — only to record your voice for the optional “Sing it yourself” feature, and only while recording. If you don't use that feature, the microphone is never accessed.
• Storage / files — to save your generated song on your device and to let you share it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or Türkiye's KVKK), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to processing. Because we do not store your inputs or recordings on our servers, most data exists only on your device or transiently with the providers above. For any request, contact us using the details below.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all network requests and access controls on our backend services. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be reflected in the App or its store listing.
